Let's scope your project

Before I quote a number, I'd rather know what I'm actually building — guessing means one of us gets a surprise later, and it's usually you.

Answer what you know and skip the rest. Takes about ten minutes. You'll get a fixed price, a written scope, and a start date within two business days. Nothing here commits you to anything.

1 · The business

Who you are and what we're putting online.

Where the quote and the written scope get sent.
LLC / corporation / sole proprietor — and which state
First choice and a backup, in case it's taken
Not to copy — so I can see the structure and shopping experience you have in mind

2 · What you're selling

This drives more of the build than anything else here.

Categories plus a few real examples — brand names, compounds, or SKUs
How many products at launch?
Who supplies names, descriptions, and photos?
Do any of these carry special requirements? Age verification, prescription, license to sell, state restrictions, shipping limits, required labeling or disclaimers

3 · Orders and fulfillment

The handoff to your partner is the one piece I can't design alone — it depends on their system.

Company name and website
How do they want to receive orders?
Name and email. This usually saves a week.

4 · Payments

I can't build a checkout without this. It also determines what the site can and can't do.

Whose merchant account processes the card payments?
Which processor?
Is that account already open and approved for these specific products? Worth confirming before we build. Processors decline whole product categories, and finding out at launch is expensive.
Interested in accepting Bitcoin as well? I can build in Lightning payments — no merchant account to be approved for, no chargebacks, and fees near zero instead of 2.9%. Settles to a wallet you control, in seconds. It's an add-on, not standard.

5 · Accounts and ownership

How I work: the domain and hosting go in your name, on your card. I set them up and manage them, but you own them. If we ever stop working together, you lose nothing and change no passwords.

Good with opening the domain and hosting accounts in your business's name, billed to your card? Roughly $15–45/month depending on the platform
Do you hold the licenses or registrations required to sell these products, if any apply? I build and host the store; you're responsible for what's sold on it and how it's described. Just need to know where things stand.

6 · Look and feel

Rough is fine — I just need a direction.

Any industry, and one word on why
Do you have a logo and brand colors?

7 · After launch

This is the biggest single cost driver on the whole project.

Do you want to add and edit products yourself, or send changes to me? Self-editing means building you an admin panel — worth knowing before I price it.
Want me handling hosting, backups, security updates, and small changes ongoing?

8 · Timing and budget

Last one.

A real date, even a rough one, helps more than "soon"
Roughly what range are you working with? This isn't the price — it tells me how to scope the build so it fits. I'd rather match the plan to your number than send you a quote neither of us wanted.
